Hugur, a son of Hrafn 802, is a beautiful, 5-gaited, silver dapple stallion imported to the United States

in February of 1995. His white mane and tail accent his unique silver-dapple body color like hematite (steel gray-black). Hugur is a spectacular stallion with nice, high leg action and an excellent temperament and disposition. All of these traits are consistently passed on to his get. He has sired some very well gaited foals in Iceland and the United States and we are happy to have him here at Icelandic Horse Acres, Inc. He has competed in Iceland, as well as the United States, and Canada. In 1995, Hugur took first place in the 5-gait competition in both the 1995 Montana Gaited Horse Show and the 3rd Annual Autumn Classic Gaited Horse Show in Spokane. Also, in the 1995 1st All Icelandic Canadian Horse Show, Hugur won Best 5 Gaited Horse of Show. He was shown in Equitana USA in Louisville, Kentucky, in 1996 and 1997, and at Equine Affaire, in Columbus, Ohio, in 1997. He is an eye-catching horse, and we have received many compliments on his striking beauty and great gaits. We hope you plan to breed to this remarkable stallion for the year 2000. Hugur has many quality foals in Iceland that are old enough to train now, and the trainers are impressed with the high quality of these high-stepping, quick-to-learn foals. At this time, Hugur’s U.S. registration papers are being held, but we are working hard to get the release. Hugur is purebred and is registered in Iceland, but not registered in the US at this time.

Krokur                                  (Hook)
(Segull x Kitta fra Oddholi)

U.S. Blood type: NQ6580
Icelandic Certificate #: 94.1.86-650
Born: 1994
BREEDING FEE: $850.00
U.S. Registration: US94101482
Import Date: Nov. 3, 1995

Copy of Krokur2.jpg (16768 bytes)    Krokur is a bay and white pinto stallion. Krokur is large and readily shows all tolt in the pasture. He also has very nice conformation. Krokur has excellent bloodlines and his father is a first prize stallion from Iceland. He has very striking markings and will pass on various pinto markings to his offspring. The owners of Krokur’s offspring have been very pleased with how well tempered and impressive his foals are. He has 5 easy, clear, and distinctive gaits, and he is very easy to ride. His preferred gait is the tolt and it is very strong and smooth. For those who are looking for a strong tolting horse to breed to, this is definitely the stallion. He is a registered pure-bred in Iceland but he is not registered in the U.S. at this time.

This young stallion is very large and full of substance. He’s a handsome chestnut with quality bloodlines. He is going to make an excellent stallion. He shows 5 gaits in the pasture and should make a large and beautiful 5-gaited stallion with excellent bloodlines from Iceland. This is indeed a very nice stallion. This is a very good-looking stallion and is out of the famous stallion-Dagur the 5-gaited Palomino. This is one of our favorites! The children all really like him and of course we are happy to have such a nice offspring from Dagur the popular first prized stallion owned by George Foreman. This stallion is U.S. registered.

Thor (God of War)
(Hugur x Eyrun)
Icelandic Certificate#: domestic
Born: 1997
BREEDING FEE:  $850.00
U.S. Registration: Will be able register
Import Date:  Domestic

Thor is a large, elegant black stallion here with us on consignment. He is nearly three years old and was chosen as a stallion prospect for many reasons including his excellent bloodlines, clear quality gaits, as well as his dam’s strength and size. Thor’s mother, Eyrun, is exceptionally large and strong and has impeccable bloodlines from eland. Her grandfather on her sire’s side is Nattfari 776 (the gorgeous horse pictured on the Icelandic Certificates of Origin). Her grandfather on her dam’s side is the impressive first prize stallion from Iceland, Sorli 653 fra Saudarkrokur. She has produced three exceptional offspring from Hugur while with us. Thor is one of them, and he is filled with charm. He will mature to become an outstanding riding and show horse as well as a quality breeding stallion.
