These games could potentially bring in more than 700 horses, and 550 riders and drivers from 43 nations. An audience projected at approximately 80,000 people, visiting throughout a 12-day period, would have a major economic impact on the state's economy.

The Committee for the Kentucky Equestrian Games will primarily work on the bid for the 2006 WEG, but will also use its combined talents to examine the possible creation of the American Equestrian Games prior to 2006. In addition, this same management team will be prepared to assist Cincinnati with the equestrian portion of its bid for the 2012 Olympics: -Compared to the-seven recognized disciplines of the FEI presented at the WEG, the Olympics presents only three FEI disciplines -show jumping, dressage and three-day eventing.
